GAME SUMMARIES:

GAME ONE – April 2 @ BELLEVILLE: The Barrie Colts couldn't really get their legs going in game one of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinal series as they dropped a 7-2 decision Wednesday night at the Yardmen Arena against the Belleville Bulls.....The Colts sticked to a simple gameplan early and took few chances against a potent Bulls squad, but the Bulls opened things up and went ahead 2-0 with a pair of goals in the latter half of the first period...They extended that to 3-0 as Matt Beleskey scored a powerplay marker late in the second, and they added insurance and made the game 5-0 just 4:03 into the third period....Ryan Gottschalk made the game 5-1, and then the Bulls countered again before the final result of 7-2....Michael Hutchinson faced an abundance of work once again and was taken out of the game and replaced by Peter Di Salvo after 6-1 as he made 50 saves on the 56 shots that he faced.....Tomas Marcinko scored Barrie's other goal, his third of the post-season....Stefan Della Rovere, Alex Hutchings and Daniel Michalsky each added assists on the Colts' goals

The Colts had a difficult time Thursday keeping one of the OHL's most complete offense's in check...The Bulls went up 2-0 through one period, before Tomas Marcinko cut the lead in half with his 4th of the post-season at 15:35 of the second....The Colts controlled the play through much of the second, but the Bulls regained the advantage as Cory Tanaka (3), Jan Mursak (5), while shorthanded, and P.K. Subban (5) all scored to put the Bulls ahead by four at the 13:07 mark of the final frame....Michael Hutchinson faced a lot of quality shots, especially on special teams play, as the Bulls scored two on the powerplay, including a 5-on-3 marker.....Defenseman Matt Stanisz did not play as a result of a shot of his foot in game one

GAME THREE – April 5 @ BELLEVILLE: The Barrie Colts find themselves in difficult territory in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinal series as the Bulls gained a 2-1 decision in game three at the Yardmen Arena Saturday night to establish a 3-0 series lead.....In what might be their most complete game of the series, the Colts established a 1-0 lead in game three, sparked by Cory McGillis' first of the playoffs on a powerplay just 2:28 in.....The Bulls tied things up in the first on a 5-on-3 advantage as Matt Beleskey (4) scored at 10:02, and Eric Tangradi (2) put them ahead with the game-winner at 16:53 of the second...The Colts had several quality chances to tie the game and outshot the Bulls 12-8 in the third period but could not get anything else by goaltender Mike Murphy....Murphy made 26 saves on the 27 shots that he faced throughout the game...On the other end, Head Coach Marty Williamson elected to go to his other 18-year potential standout in Peter Di Salvo, and Di Salvo was solid as he kicked aside 32 Belleville shots
