One night after being topped 12-11 in the Skills Competition, Mark Scheifele and the rest of Team Cherry were once again out-done by Team Orr at the 2011 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game Wednesday night in Toronto.
Scheifele was held off the scoresheet as Team Cherry scored only one goal in a 7-1 loss at the Air Canada Centre.
The top 40 draft-eligible players in the Country performed in Wednesday's game, with Scheifele ranked as the 21st best skater in North America.
The rookie sits third in the Ontario Hockey League in rookie scoring with ten goals and 35 assists for 45 points in 42 games played.
The Kitchener native was recently named an alternate captain for Barrie. He leads the team in assists and is second in overall scoring, while not missing a game all season.
Colts Equipment Manager Kevin Emo was also honoured to get the call to the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. He was part of the training staff for Team Orr, which was coached by Doug Gilmour.
Scheifele will get back in to action Thursday night when the Colts host the Owen Sound Attack.
