COLTS TRADE FOR DANIEL ERLICH

November 24, 2011

Barrie and Guelph completed a trade Thursday afternoon

The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have acquired forward Daniel Erlich from the Guelph Storm.

The overage forward has played 16 games this season for Salzburg EC after signing a contract with the Austrian club.

The 5’6” winger played three and a half seasons with the London Knights before being traded to Guelph last year.

The resident of Thornhill put up his best numbers last year with 20 goals and 44 assists for 64 points split between London and Guelph.

The Colts send the Storm their own 4th round pick in 2014, Niagara’s 5th round pick in 2012 and a conditional 8th round pick in 2017.

Erlich is expected to join the Colts on their current road trip that will see them play in Sarnia and London.

Erlich becomes the fourth overager on the team joining Colin Behenna, Norm Ezekiel and Victor Terreri.
