The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit.

The Colts obtain forward Anthony Camara and re-acquire defenceman Ryan O’Connor

In exchange the Colts send Saginaw forward Eric Locke, goalie Clint Windsor, and three draft picks.

The Spirit get back their own 2nd round pick in 2013, Barrie’s 2nd round pick in 2012 and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2013.

Camara, a 19 year-old winger, has played two and a half seasons with the Spirit and has already posted a career-high this season in points with seven goals and 12 assists in 35 games played.

The Toronto native was originally picked 14th overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, in the same draft the Spirit also selected Alex Lepkowski and Mark Scheifele.

O’Connor, a former first round pick of the Colts, was the captain of the Spirit and has 21 points in 37 games played this season.

The former sixth overall pick played 81 games in Barrie and put up 12 goals and 35 assists in a Colts uniform.

Eric Locke joins his third team in three seasons; the former Windsor Spitfire has 13 points in 21 games played this year.

Clint Windsor was originally a fourth round selection of the Colts in the 2009 OHL Draft and played a total of 46 games in Barrie.
